Word searches are fun and satisfying. Children don’t see them as work. It’s a great way to improve spelling and vocabulary. And if you don’t know what ‘skua’ or ‘peplum’ means, pull out the dictionary!
There are four graded word lists for each topic page. This means each sheet is adaptable for a variety of skill levels. Find-a-Word sheets are great for relief teachers, or as a class reward.
The 28 topics range from ancient Egypt to food, gold and outer space. Each page is beautifully illustrated and contains 60 to 80 words to find. The graded lists accommodate either teamwork or individual efforts.
