Each of the 36 tasks in each book are varied to avoid boredom and open-ended to allow all students to complete the same task at their ability level. More capabale students are challenged and struggling students are not demeaned by work that is too hard or is different to the work set for the rest of the class.
As family participation is required, parents can observe their child's progress and students benefit from positive adult input. Many of the tasks do not require teacher marking as they are games to play at home or they require students to make a presentation to the class. There is usually very little to be corrected if parents are supporting their child. However, this mean that homework presentation time needs to be in the the timetable.
